Professional Artisan Bread Baker/Team Manager LEELANAU COUNTY, MICHIGAN 9 Bean Rows is a growing company that strives to increase the availability of locally grown and hand crafted food year round in Northern Michigan. We are a sustainable farm, bakery and cafe with a team that cares about our community and the earth we live on. We work hard, we play hard and we love doing what we do.

The area is known for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, the National Cherry Festival and The Traverse City Film Festival and miles of white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise blue water. We have a great food scene with nearly 50 area wineries and at least 2 dozen breweries, cideries and distilleries.

We produce between 400-800 sourdough loaves per day (and nearly 3000 pastries) and all our bread is baked using a wood fired LLOPIS oven, built by Juan Llopis himself.

Salary range is from $60,000-$80,000 per year depending on experience. This is a full time, year round, salaried, night shift (3am-11am), old school baking position. 401k Employer Match.

The right fit for our team is someone who LOVES bread and is intense in their eagerness to keep learning and pushing the creativity and excellence of the craft. Even more important is the ability to work well with others and inspire a team of bakers. Must be physically able to repeatedly lift 50lbs and stand all day. Must have a minimum of two years professional kitchen experience with an emphasis on naturally leavened doughs to be considered for this position. Must understand every step of the production process for both sourdough and yeast breads. Must be self reliant, motivated and hard working.
