November 27 / 5-6pm EST
What better reason to gather this holiday season than for the sake of a good cookie?
Inexplicably, this year is somehow almost over. We want to celebrate with our members before the weeks disappear and 2024 begins. Guild members are invited to join us for a virtual holiday cookie party on November 27, from 5-6 p.m. Bring your favorite cookie to share with us and we'll do the same.
The Guild's Melina Kelson, Education and Events manager, will host the party. Kelson's baking prowess is formidable, from her outfit Bootleg Batard to myriad ventures and accomplishments in the world of baking. She, like the rest of us, appreciates a good cookie.
She will be joined by our special guest for the party, Chef Michelle "Mitchie" Curran of Mitchie's Munchies in Las Vegas. Chef Mitchie is a notorious custom cake badass and sugar work magician. She can make cakes that look like six-packs of beer and crystal caverns. But her outfit, Schnaks, is where her cookie affinity shines. Not to mention, her hand-painted face cookies are uncanny and delicious. Mitchie is a bright innovator in the world of baking and cakes.
There will be a short interview with Chef Mitchie, plus a chance to ask questions and time for attendees to share their bakes with the group. Members are invited to share their formulas (no, we aren't formatting them) with the group via email. Formulas are just for personal use only. We can't wait to see what kind of cookies you bake up.
Free to attend. Registration required.
